I had my coaching call with Chris yesterday and I brought up that I am reading Power vs. Force for the first time. I am very lucky in that he has read it several times and studied it at a very deep level. One of the first things he talked about was that there are two different types of states we exist in:
What you focus on and think about is what will manifest. If you think about all of the beauty that exists around us and within us, that is what you will find more of. If you think about the things that make you suffer (complaints, criticisms, condemnations) guess what you will find more of.
That instantly made me think about my Dale Carnegie days. The first two laws of Dale Carnegie:
1. Don’t Criticize, Condemn, or Complain.
2. Give Honest, Sincere Appreciation.
Think about how beautifully that fits into this. Remove the negatives and focus on the positives.
Think about how so many people are saying to live in gratitude is to have abundance in your life. Focus on the things you have to be grateful for and find more things to be grateful for.
Find the beauty. Find the appreciation. Find the gratitude. All of these things have been told to me over and over again. What you focus on expands.
