Persistent and Consistent

Often times, life will throw road blocks at your goals.  My advice is to keep going.  I have the goal right now of creating my own business.  And let me tell you, I have been nailed by road block after road block.  Some were completely my fault or my choice.  With some, there was nothing I could have done to prevent them.

I am on my fifth business attempt now.  So far all of them have failed by my own measuring stick.

But, I just keep moving forward.  There are two great things about this philosophy.  One is that you cannot fail.  The only way you can fail is to give up, and then BAM, you fail.  But as long as you keep moving towards that goal, you must reach it eventually.  And I do mean must.  I had a goal to get a strong lean body.  (I have been scrawny most of my life.)  It took me NINE YEARS to get to the body I wanted.  But I did not stop.  I kept learning better ways to get there, and I got there.  I got the perfect woman the same way.  I will get my own business that way.

The other great part about this philosophy is you will find much more luck.  I have had opportunities come my way that might have come without me seeking out this goal.  But if I was not consistent with this goal, I would have probably not recognized them for what they are.  But since I continually strove towards these goals, I did notice these chances, and I took them.

Last night I got a call with great news and then even better news after that.  If I had given up, I would not be able to take advantage of either of the opportunities presented to me.  Because I stuck with it, I get both.  Stick with it!
