Lifestyle Design Part 3

I have been thinking about this.  What I want is actually very simple. I want time that I can dedicate to me.  I want to be able to walk, hike, run, bike, drive or just get out and move. I want to be able to listen to some educational book/podcast/etc to help myself grow. Hell, sometimes I just want to go see that terrible movie that no one would go with me anyways.  For me freedom is not being chained.  I am not chained to a desk, a company, or anything.  I don’t even worry if work calls me while I am out doing these things. In fact, I believe it usually makes me better because I am coming from a place of calm, happiness, and growth. I would much rather have that working for me than someone who is overworked, stressed out, and trying to do too many things at once.  I can better help my clients in a stressful situation because I am anti-stress.

The more that I write about this/think about this/talk about this, it really is just that simple.  I don’t want to be beholden to building my business. I want my business to help me build the life that I want.  I want my business to be a place where I help as many people as possible.  And I am one of those people.

The funny part is I think this is what Chris has been trying to talk to me about. Most of the time when he talks to me he doesn’t give me business examples, he talks about how he likes to workout, ride his motorcycle, or go shoot something.  This is him living his life the way that he wants.  I should be able to live my life that way as well.
